When can I start a course?

Courses for absolute beginners start the first Monday of every month. All other courses start every Monday throughout the year.

How much is the enrollment fee and when do I have to pay it?

There is a fee of 15,000 pesetas to enroll in your course and 15,000 pesetas for accommodation, both of which are due after you receive the invoic

Where are the accommodations?

Apartments for students as well as the homes of host families are located within a very short distance from the school. Going from your place of residence to school will take only 5 to 10 minutes by foot.

Where is the school located?

Just a two minute walk from the Plaza Mayor, the Alhambra Institute is located in the center of Salamanca.

When are the lessons?

Classes take place from 8:30 in the morning till 12:30 in the afternoon from 16:00 till 20:00 in the standard four-hour course. The six-hour course starts at 8:30 and therefore ends at 14:30. So you have the rest of the day off for your own activities.

 

Can I prepare my own meals if I choose to stay in an apartment?

Yes, your completely furnished apartment includes a fully-equipped kitchen which you have at your disposal. Additionally, there are shops all over the neighbourhood to help you stock up on whatever food you need or like.

Do I have to take my own sheets and blankets if I choose to stay in an apartment?

No, this is all included and will be changed every week. You only have to bring your own towels.

Are there any trips and if so, are they included in the price?

The school organizes all kinds of trips within Salamanca and to nearby cities such as Avila, Toledo, Madrid, and Portugal, but they are not included in the tuition fee.

Does the school organize social activities or parties?

Yes, every Tuesday there is a welcome-party for new students and we also organize parties with a traditional Spanish barbacoa or paella.

Are there any sports activities?

Yes, we organise tennis tournaments, horse-riding outings, volleyball matches, biking trips, etc.
